Product Introduction

DNA分離向上剤「ルーペ4K/20」は、アガロースハイドロゲル工学の手法により弊社が独自開発した高分子バイオポリマーです。「ルーペゲル10k/50」は「ルーペ4k/20」とアガロースとをプレミックスした製品です。どちらも従来どおりの手法で加熱溶解しゲルを作製するだけで、それぞれ20bp~4Kbp領域、50bp~10Kbp領域で極めて高いDNA分離能を発揮します。


固体培地SWは、寒天に替わる素材として弊社が独自開発した新規ハイドロゲル剤です。生物に対して不活性であり多くの微生物の固体培地として有効です。本剤は、微生物のうち特に鞭毛等による運動能力 Mobility の有無を判定する方法である Swarming Assay のために最適化された製品です。


チップボートはバラ売りのチップ(10 μl, 20 μl)詰めを容易にするための発明品です。個人差はありますが、一ラック96本立てを4,5分で詰められます。手のひらにぴったりフィットする設計です。研究室でまず、1個からおためしください。

Welcome to our website. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all of you for your continued patronage.
In December 2015, the scientific journal, Nature, reported the shortage of agar products due to dwindling seaweed harvest in the world. Many scientists who are working, especially in microbiology, molecular biology, animal and plant biology now worry about insufficient supply of agar products essential for cultivating microorganisms needed in their research. Such circumstance will affect the progress of respective worldwide basic research studies as well as public health and clinical studies as described in Nature.
To overcome this problem, our bio-venture company, GelBio LLC, Japan started to innovate agar substitutes, and eventually succeeded in novel product development useful for cultivating bacteria cells, plants and animals in the labs.
During this study, we also developed a novel biomaterial enhancing DNA resolution in gel electrophoresis, by simply adding its small amount to ordinary using agarose gel.
We named it as resolution enhancer (RE; product name, Loupe gel 4k/20). This is a novel biopolymer enabling quite high DNA resolution ranging from 20 base pairs (bp) to 4,000bp in ordinary agarose gel electrophoresis (AGE).
In the past half a century, purified agarose has been used routinely in DNA study as essential materials to separate each DNA with varied in its length. Many companies currently supply various types of agarose purified from raw marine products, seaweeds. The users choose appropriate agarose having unique characteristics depending upon their purposes. They include low, medium, and high temperature melting point agarose.
Due to our successful product development, currently one type of agarose and RE is only needed for high performance DNA gel separation. By simply mixing varied amounts of agarose and RE, you can analyze DNA ranging from 20bp to 4,000bp, 100bp to 10,000bp, or 1,000bp to 50,000bp in one gel plate. We offer you this RE in low cost. You may enjoy AGE with high quality in resolution and strength. This development may contribute the decreasing use of agarose, as well as agar and seaweeds. Therefore, we believe this innovation may in line with our commitment of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) aimed to establish future society in the world.
Hydrogels such as agarose gels form three-dimensional architecture in aqueous solution by self assembly mechanism, by which bio-molecules interact each other through hydrogen bonding, hydrophobic interaction and ionic interaction in complicated manners. It remains unsolved problems, but it may useful in various fields including cosmetics and medicals.
We will do our best to continue unwavering effort for revealing the novel potential of hydrogels in basic and applied sciences and offer you many valuables in safety and peace of mind.
